MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Point Park dropped a 69-47 final to Millersville on day one of the Atlantic Region Challenge hosted by the Marauders at Pucillo Gymnasium.
Millersville limited Point Park to just 28.6 percent from the field (16-56) and 23.1 percent from three (6-26). At the opposite end, the Marauders shot 43.9 percent from the field (29-66). Millersville also held a slim advantage in rebounding (43-41).
On the offensive end,
Kelly Luck led the way with 11 points, three rebounds and two assists.
Alexis Giles chipped in 10 points, three rebounds and two steals.
Emma Pavelek added seven points on the offensive end, while
Ari Bleda and
Fatim Sarr Ndow scored six apiece.
Sarr Ndow and
Camille Fultz each pulled down five rebounds for the Pioneers.
Point Park was plagued by 28 turnovers on the evening, which resulted in 30 points-off turnovers for Millersville.
Millersville was led by Kali March with 17 points and three assists. Makiah Shaw and Brenna Ortwein also reached double figures with 15 and 13, respectively. Sophia Elstone pulled down 10 rebounds for the Marauders.
Point Park will return to action on day two of the Atlantic Region Challenge on Saturday at 1 p.m. against East Stroudsburg.
