PITTSBURGH- The Point Park women's soccer team and West Liberty battled to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday morning at Highmark Stadium.
Maria Gomez (4) got the Pioneers on the scoreboard first in the 23
rd minute as Gomez headed a ball into the back of the net off an assist from 
Austyn Burkett to give Point Park a 1-0 lead.
The Hilltoppers equalized the match in the 55
th minute as Emma Lieu scored her second goal of the season on a free kick that found the bottom left corner of the net.
Statistically, Point Park outshot West Liberty 21-12 with 10 of the Pioneers shots being on goal. The Pioneers also had a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Nicole Kuchinski went all 90 minutes in goal for the Pioneers recording five saves while allowing just one goal. Kuchinski now has an 0-0-5 record on the season.
With the draw, Point Park now has a 6-6-4 overall record and is 5-5-3 in the Mountain East. Point Park will return to action on Sunday afternoon as the Pioneers travel to Wheeling to take on the Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. in their last MEC matchup of the regular season.
