ATHENS, W.Va. – Point Park women's soccer made its first ever appearance in the Mountain East Conference Tournament on Sunday afternoon, entering the tournament as the No. 3 seed in the north division.
Concord's Tiana Campbell recorded a hat-trick to lead the second-seeded Mountain Lions to a 3-0 quarterfinal victory. She scored her first goal in the eighth minute with an assist from Stephanie Tovar and the Mountain Lions led 1-0 at the break.
Campbell also found the back of the net in the 68
th and 87
th minutes to push the Concord lead to a 3-0 final.
Concord held a 20-6 advantage in total shots, including a 7-4 edge in on-target shots. The Mountain Lions also held a 4-1 margin in corner kicks.
Point Park had four quality scoring changes in the game, including two on-target shots from
Sterre Kuijper and one each from
Maria Fusillo and
Cara Spry.
Frederieke Rijlaarsdam made the start in the Point Park goal and recorded four saves in the game.
Maddie Loughborough picked up the shutout win for Concord, making four saves to maintain the clean sheet.
Point Park wraps up the 2025 season with a record of 8-7-4. Concord advances to the semifinal round and will meet Fairmont State at 1 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
