GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State opened up a 49-29 halftime lead and closed out Point Park for an 82-59 Mountain East Conference win on Wednesday evening at the Waco Center.
Glenville State shot 49 percent from the floor (29-of-59) and made 11-of-16 shots from behind the arc in the win. The Pioneers were also 13-for-14 from the charity stripe. Point Park struggled from the floor, shooting 31 percent (20-of-64) overall and just 28 percent from three (7-of-25). PPU held a 42-35 rebounding advantage in the game.
Kaden Warner led the Pioneers with 22 points on 8-of-21 shooting from the floor.
Nazareth Fisher finished the evening with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Aidan Anderson chipped in eight points to go with nine rebounds, while
Nick Marshall and
Nathaniel Van scored six points apiece.
Ammar Maxwell led Glenville State with 22 points, three rebounds and three assists. Prince Mosengo added 14 points and six rebounds. Devin Collins just missed a double-double for GSU with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Point Park (10-11, 4-10 MEC) will return home to host Concord on Saturday afternoon at CCAC. Tip is set for 4 p.m.
