Boyd Garners All-MEC Postseason Honors

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Point Park's Elizabeth Boyd was named an All-MEC honorable mention honoree for the 2025-26 season, the conference announced on Monday afternoon prior to this week's MEC Tournament in Wheeling.

Boyd, a junior from Prospect, Ky., led the Pioneers in rebounds averaging 9.3 per game this season - good for third in the MEC. She also ranked second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.7 points per contest.

Boyd's season was highlighted by her double-double in Point Park's 63-47 win against Fairmont State, where she scored 23 points and added 22 rebounds. Boyd's statline was the best by a Pioneer since February 2023 when Taylor Rinn accomplished the feat.

Boyd is the only player in the MEC to post 22 rebounds in a single game since March 10, 2023.

Boyd tallied 11 double-doubles this season, leading the Pioneers. Boyd had four consecutive double-doubles from Feb. 4 through Feb. 11.

Boyd also ranks second in the MEC in double-doubles behind Concord's Abbie Smith - the 2025-26 MEC Player of the Year.

Boyd and the Pioneers will open the MEC Tournament, presented by The Health Plan, on Wednesday at noon when they take on Frostburg State. The tournament returns to Wheeling's WesBanco Arena this season.
