FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Luke McKenna was named Mountain East Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, the league office announced Monday.

McKenna, who earned the award on Sept. 14 after his first-place finish in the Kutztown DII/DIII Challenge, finished third on Friday at the Atlantic Region Preview Meet in Kernersville, N.C. The meet featured five of the top 10 teams in the DII Atlantic Region, including MEC-rivals Concord and Glenville State. He finished as the highest runner from the MEC.

Point Park has competed in two races in the 2026-27 season, with the men's team taking first place in both. McKenna has turned in first-place and third-place finishes in the meets. PPU will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the 25th annual Carnegie Mellon Invitational in Clinton, Pa.
