Sickle Cell results are only required for incoming student-athletes, both freshman and transfer students.
International Student-Athletes
The Quest Diagnostic test is simple and quick and can be done in Pittsburgh, with results taking 1-2 days to return. (
see Sickle Cell Testing section)
If you would like to bring results from home, please ensure the results are in "English" and clearly shows that the test was negative for the Sickle Cell Trait. Hemoglobin variant tests are accepted if there is an explanation of the test from a physician.

Once you have your results - upload a copy to your ATS portal under e-files and notify your Athletic Trainer, or email
athletictrainers@pointpark.edu

The file you upload must contain your name, date of birth, and the result of the test.

Please note that even if you have uploaded your results to the ATS system, it must be verified by your athletic trainer. You will be notified once all your medical documentation have been verified and accepted and only then will you be allowed to start practicing with your team.
