Tim Creamer enters his fifth season as head cross country and track & field coach at Point Park University, taking over the program in the fall of 2021. Creamer began his tenure as an assistant at Point Park for three seasons prior to taking over the program.

Overall, he enters his 24
th year of coaching collegiate cross country and track & field after a storied tenure as head coach at Seton Hill University that began in 2002-03.

Creamer is the winningest cross country and track & field coach in Point Park University history, leading the Pioneers to 12 conference championships, a team national title in marathon, and 11 conference coach of the year honors, including the 2025 MEC Women’s Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year, and 10 honors as a member of the River States Conference.

Over his 24-year career, Creamer has been a part of 29 conference championships, including 21 as a head coach and eight as an assistant. He is also a 20-time coach of the year between Seton Hill (9) and Point Park (11).

Creamer has coached student-athletes to an individual national championship and individual national runner-up finish, while also mentoring 83 national qualifiers, 24 All-Americans, 357 All-Conference performers and 166 individual conference champions.

In 2024-25, Creamer coached athletes to six MEC major awards, including Cassondra O’Connor (cross country runner and freshman of the year), Akeem Mustapha (indoor and outdoor field athlete of the year), Dunya Van den Torren (indoor freshman of the year) and Kamar Sutherland (outdoor freshman of the year).

In all, Creamer has coached 27 student-athletes to conference athlete of the year honors, while 12 others have been voted the conference's freshman/newcomer of the year.

Creamer’s teams have continuously excelled in the classroom, having coached 62 USTFCCCA All-Academic award winners, along with one NCAA Elite 89 Academic Award recipient (2010) and one USTFCCCA Scholar-Athlete of the Year (2013) award winner. His teams have also earned multiple USTFCCCA Team Scholar awards.

Creamer competed collegiately in track and field at nearby Allegheny College. While at Allegheny, he earned All-Conference honors in the pole vault event and was a part of the first two Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championship teams in school history.

Creamer currently resides in the North Hills of Pittsburgh with his wife Lisa and four children.
