Point Park University

Ben Prantl was named Assistant Director of Athletic Communications & Creative Content in January 2026. 

Prantl graduated magna cum laude from Duquesne University in December 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Information & Media with a minor in Digital Media Arts. He also received the program’s award for most outstanding senior for the class of 2026. 

While at Duquesne, Prantl spent three years in the sports information office, serving as Intern Assistant Director of Strategic Communications. Prantl covered Duquesne sports, serving as primary contact for the men’s and women’s track & field teams in Spring 2025 in addition to other secondary-contact work. Prantl also gained experience in media relations covering the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament in 2024 which Duquesne hosted at PPG Paints Arena as well as working livestat programs for Duquesne events.
