Point Park University

Lauren Nylund has joined the women’s soccer staff at Point Park as an assistant coach in 2025.

Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Nylund was a two-time team captain at Missouri Western State University, where she earned recognition as a 2024 NCAA All-American, MIAA Defender of the Year, and All-Central Region First Team Defender. She starred at Missouri Western from 2021 to 2024.

She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Childhood Studies and is a member of the Psi Chi Honor Society at Missouri Western. During her time at Missouri Western, she presented research at four regional and national conferences.

Nylund brings extensive experience mentoring youth players through coaching, volunteering, and community engagement. She is passionate about player development, building a strong team culture, and helping student-athletes grow on and off the field.
