Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla. -- Point Park University men's soccer lost at Warner (Fla.), 2-1, on Sunday to conclude its trip to Florida. The Pioneers (3-2) had a clutch goal by Korby Ring in the 83rd minute, but the Royals (2-2) got the game-winner from Joseph Street -- his second of the game -- in the 88th minute to win the NAIA, non-conference matchup.
The game was scoreless at the half with Point Park mounting seven shots and Warner five. Things picked up after halftime with all of the scoring inside the final 45 minutes.
Street's first goal came in the 58th minute to push the Royals ahead. They were holding on to that lead for nearly 30 minutes when Ring came up with his unassisted goal. But Street pushed Warner into the winner's circle with his late goal.
Point Park ended up with an 18-15 advantage in shots, including 11-10 the second half. Both teams had four saves.
The Pioneers will have a break in the game schedule before being back in action Sept. 13 versus Lourdes (Ohio). That game will be played at the AHN Montour Complex.
