PITTSBURGH – Point Park shot 46 percent from the floor and made 13 three-pointers in a 94-49 win over Berkeley College on Monday evening at CCAC.
After going to the locker room with a 44-34 advantage, the Pioneers ballooned the lead to as many as 45 late in the fourth quarter. Point Park outscored Berkeley 28-7 in the third quarter and 22-8 in the fourth quarter.
The Pioneers were led by two double-double performances from
Camille Fultz and
Ari Bleda on Monday night. Fultz finished the evening with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Bleda contributed 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Aichata Ballo was working towards a triple-doubles for the Pioneers with 15 points, seven rebounds and eight assists.
Isabella Pelaia also reached double-figures with 11 points.
Point Park assisted on 27 of its 34 baskets in the game, while also holding a commanding 58-33 advantage on the glass.
Berkeley had three double-figure scorers on Monday night, led by Khya Hough with 18 points. Ariella Johnson chipped in 14 points and five rebounds, while Magan Jackson came off the bench to score 12 points.
Berkeley shot just 28 percent from the floor (20-71), including a dismal 2-of-12 performance from behind the arc.
Point Park will return to action on Thursday evening in its MEC opener against Glenville State. Tip is set for 5:30 p.m. at CCAC.
