PITTSBURGH – Kaden Warner recorded his second 30-point scoring performance of the season in Point Park's 108-77 victory over Penn State New Kensington on Saturday afternoon at CCAC.
Warner finished the afternoon with 33 points, three rebounds, five assists and five steals. He shot 11-of-24 from the floor and 8-of-8 from the free throw line. Warner also made three 3-pointers.
In all, five Pioneers reached double-figures in the win. Along with Warner,
Daniel Felix came off the bench to score 16 points, while
Nathanial Van added 15 points and five rebounds.
Aiden Miller was one assist shy of the triple-double with 13 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists.
Brandon Williams also finished with 11 points and five rebounds.
For the game, Point Park shot 51 percent from the floor (43-of-85) with nine 3-pointers. The Pioneers scored 56 points in the paint, 30 second-chance points and 25 fast-break points in the victory.
Point Park also finished with a 54-24 rebounding advantage.
Donaven Johnson came off the bench to score a team-high 18 points for New Kensington. Aubrey Feaster II chipped in 14 points. The Lions shot 45 percent from the floor (28-of-62).
Point Park will continue non-conference play against Penn State Greater Allegheny on Monday afternoon. Tip is set for 3 p.m. at CCAC.
