PITTSBURGH – The Point Park men's and women's cross country teams will wrap up the season at the Saint Francis Red Flash Rally on Saturday, Nov. 9. The event will be ran at B&D Acres in Tyrone, Pennsylvania.
 
The women's 4k race is set for 1:45 p.m. in the afternoon, with the men's 6k to follow at 2:30.

Women's Storylines

• The Point Park women's cross country team placed third at the 2024 Mountain East Conference Championship back on Oct. 26 at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling.
• Cassondra O'Connor placed second in the championship race with a time of 22:14.13. She finished second behind D&E's Lauren Twyman in the championship race.
• Following the championship race, O'Connor was voted the 2024 MEC Runner of the Year and Freshman of the Year. O'Connor also earned MEC Runner of the Week three times this season.
• The Pioneers also had a pair of second team All-MEC performers in Allison Plassio and Jana Schmid. Plassio turned in a time of 23:21.30 to finish in 12^th place at the championship, while Schmid placed 17^th with a time of 23:33.35.

 
Men's Storylines

• The Point Park men's cross country team finished seventh at the MEC Championship back on Oct. 26.
• Luke McKenna finished ninth in the race with a time of 25:54.38. With his top 10 finish, McKenna earned first team All-MEC honors for the 2024 season.
• McKenna has recorded the two fastest 8k times in program history this season. He turned in a time of 25:47.2 at the Robert Morris Invitational and improved the time to 25:18.8 at the Lock Haven Invitational.
• McKenna was named the MEC Runner of the Week back on Sept. 16.
