PITTSBURGH – Point Park scored 60 points in the first half and rolled to a 115-61 victory over Penn State Fayette on Monday evening in non-conference action at CCAC.
Point Park (5-4) shot 46 percent from the floor (43-94) and made 16 three-pointers in the runaway victory. The Pioneers also held a 70-32 rebounding advantage.
Brenden Williams led Point Park with 23 points and five rebounds in the victory.
Nazareth Fisher chipped in 17 points and seven rebounds, while
Nick Marshall and
Kaden Warner scored 14 points apiece. Marshall was one rebound away from a double-double, finishing with nine.
Point Park's double-figure scorers also included 12 points from
Aidan Anderson and 11 from
Nathanial Van.
Aiden Miller pulled down a team-high 17 rebounds and passed out seven assists in the win.
As a team, Point Park assisted on 24 of 43 made field goals.
Dasilas Jones scored a team-high 18 points to go with six rebounds and five assists to lead Penn State Fayette. Zachary Hill also chipped in 12 points. PSU-Fayette shot just 32.4 percent from the floor (23-71) in the setback.
Point Park returns to action on Wednesday afternoon when West Virginia Wesleyan visits Pittsburgh for an MEC matchup at 3 p.m. tipoff.
