PITTSBURGH – Aidan Anderson returned to the Point Park lineup and scored a career-high 33 points to lead Point Park to an 84-74 victory over Cedarville on Tuesday afternoon at CCAC-Allegheny.
Anderson, who had missed two-straight games, returned and went 12-of-21 from the floor and 3-of-7 from three in the career-scoring performance. He also pulled down 10 rebounds and had two assists.
Grant Welch was second on the team in scoring with 13 points in the win.
Kaden Warner chipped in 12 points and three assists, while
Jaylen Stewart finished with 10 points, four rebounds and seven assists.
Greg Williams and
Jayden Davis also had seven points apiece.
The Pioneers shot 47.7 percent from the floor (31-65), including 54 percent in the second half to grab control of the game late. Point Park also had 11 3-pointers and went 11-of-13 from the free throw line.
PPU assisted on 17 of 31 baskets in the game.
Cedarville was led by 18 points apiece from Jaylen Davis and Anthony Ruffolo. Ethan Sellars added 14 points.
The Yellow Jackets shot 44 percent from the floor (28-64) with 12 3-pointers in the game. Cedarville also struggled from the charity stripe at 6-for-12.
Point Park will have a quick turnaround to face Concord in Mountain East Conference play on Wednesday at CCAC. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
