YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Point Park women's track & field team broke three school records at Friday's YSU Icebreaker event, hosted by Youngtown State University.
The record-setting performances included
Dunya Van den Tooren in the long jump (5.75m),
Alexis Heller in the shot put (12.21m), and
Jenna Manson in the weight throw (12.88m).
Van den Tooren led the Pioneers on Friday with fourth-place finishes in the long jump and high jump (1.70m), while placing sixth in the triple jump (11.51m). The sophomore set NCAA Provisional marks in both the high jump and long jump events.
The Pioneers had five additional Top 10 finishes at the Icebreaker event, including
Aubrey Smith taking second in the 800m,
Emma Roemer taking ninth in the 60m hurdles, and
Lotte Zethof (Mile),
Alana Dyce-Giraud (3000m) and
Gabriella Wesney (shot) taking 10
th in their respective events.
In all, the Pioneers turned in ten performances that ranked among the Top 5 in school history on Friday.
