WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – West Liberty shot nearly 59 percent from the floor and forced 32 Point Park turnovers in a 104-71 win over the Pioneers on Saturday evening at the ASRC.
West Liberty made 41 of its 70 field goal attempts in the game, including a 10-25 performance from behind the arc (40%). The Hilltoppers scored 60 points in the paint and 41 points-off turnovers in the win (26 on the fast-break).
On the opposite end, Point Park shot 43 percent from the floor (26-of-60) with seven 3-pointers.
Point Park was led by 13 points apiece from
Grant Welch and
Greg Williams.
Kaden Warner added 10 points and six rebounds. The Pioneers also got nine points and seven rebounds from Ameka Anwah, and eight points from
Jaylen Stewart.
Jamie Maldowney scored a game-high 21 points in the win for West Liberty. Terrance Pankey Jr. added 14 points and four assists for the Hilltoppers.
Point Park travels to West Virginia Wesleyan for another Mountain East Conference matchup on Wednesday evening. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
