CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Point Park track and field teams tuned in eight Top 10 finishes during day two of the 49er Classic hosted by UNC-Charlotte on Saturday.
In women's events, Dunya Van den Torren led the Pioneers with a second-place finish in the high jump, recording a mark of 1.66m. The mark ranks second in school history. Diamond Rush also finished eighth in the 200m with a time of 24.75, while Kiyara Sawyers finished 12
th in the 3,000m with a time of 11:32.50. Sawyers' time ranks fourth in school history in the event.
In the high jump "B" event, Casey Colcombe finished fifth with a mark of 1.46m.
In men's events, the Pioneers were led by a first-place finish in the 4x800 relay with a time of 7:52.46. The time was the fifth-fastest in program history.
In men's individual events, Kamar Sutherland took second in the 200m (22.35), while Albin Petschauer finished 14
th with a time of 9:23.94 in the 3,000m. Petschauer's time was the second-fastest in PPU history.
