PITTSBURGH – A pair of school records by Kamar Sutherland and Emma Roemer highlighted Point Park's performance at Friday's Benson and Hodge Memorial Invitational hosted by Robert Morris University here in Pittsburgh.
 
The event was Point Park's final chance to qualify before the Mountain East Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship next weekend.
 
Sutherland turned in a first-place finish in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.40, a mark that ties Point Park's school record in the event. Kanye Mills also achieved the time back in 2024 at the River States Championship meet.
 
Roemer also set the Point Park record in the women's 100m hurdles, turning in a time of 14.48. She topped the previous record (14.59) set by Natalea Hillen in 2024.
 
In all, Point Park turned in eight 1st-place finishes at Friday's event, including Sutherland in 110m hurdles and 200m, Chase Bowen in the 1500m, Gabe Ebersole in the 3000m steeple, Maxwell Goode in the long jump, and David Attram in the shot put.
 
In women's events, Corinne Lee-Houser finished first in the 3000m steeple and Dunya Van den Tooren turned in the top mark in the high jump (1.65m), as she just missed the school record of 1.66m that she already holds.
