Men's Basketball Earns NABC Academic Recognition

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Point Park University men's basketball program earned 2024-25 academic recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Thursday afternoon.
 
As a team, the Pioneers earned the prestigious NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for its success in the classroom during the 2024-25 campaign. Additionally, Brenden Williams, Darren Ainembabazi, Jags Jhawar and Nathanial Van were named to the 2024-25 NABC Honors Court.
 
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
 
The NABC's academic awards are presented annually to teams and athletes from all levels of college basketball. This season, over 2,400 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards.
