INDIANAPOLIS – Point Park was voted to finish 10
th in the 2026 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll, the league announced on Tuesday following a vote of the league's head coaches.
Under head coach Cody Golon, the Pioneers enter their first season of competition as associate members of the G-MAC. Point Park added men's lacrosse in the spring of 2024 and spent last academic year recruiting its initial roster under Golon.
The Pioneers will play home lacrosse games at nearby Highmark Stadium, home of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL, as well as the home for Pitt lacrosse and Point Park soccer.
Point Park will open the season on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Virginia State in Petersburg, Virginia. The home opener is slated for Saturday, Feb. 14 at noon against D'Youville at Highmark Stadium. The Pioneers will play seven home games this spring.
Seton Hill topped the preseason poll with 111 points and 10 of the 11 first-place votes. Walsh received the final first-place votes and finished with 101 points to take second in the poll. Davenport (87), Northwood (83) and Lake Erie (82) rounded out the top five.
Wheeling (69) checked-in at No. 6, followed by a three-way tie for seventh with Malone, Thomas More and Tiffin (47 points each). Point Park (28) and Davis & Elkins (23) rounded out the poll.
