PITTSBURGH – The 11
th-ranked Fairmont State men's basketball team shot 50 percent from the floor to pick up a 75-62 road win over Point Park on Wednesday evening in Mountain East Conference play at CCAC.
Fairmont State held a big advantage in points in the paint (40-22) and rebounding (43-24) in the win.
Point Park finished the evening shooting 39.3 percent from the floor (22-56) and 30.8 percent from three (8-26).
Aidan Anderson led the Pioneers with 18 points, while
Rob Keys came off the bench to score 12.
Kaden Warner finished with 11 points, while
Jaylen Stewart finished with 10 points and four assists.
Rene Diop recorded a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Drey Carter chipped in 16 points and nine rebounds, while Miguel Martinez finished with 14 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
Point Park will make the short trip to Frostburg State on Saturday for a matchup with the Bobcats. Tips is set for 4 p.m.
