CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Point Park women's track and field team set two school records on Saturday as Point Park wrapped up competition at the 49er Classic hosted by UNC Charlotte.
 
Khady Ndiaye finished fourth overall in the women's triple jump with a school-record mark of 11.72 meters in the event. She shattered the old mark of 11.54 meters in the event.
 
In the women's 4x800 relay, the Point Park team of Jana Schmid, Lotte Zethof, Anna Babinyecz and Aubrey Smith set a new school-record time of 9:19.41, beating the old school record by more than 11 seconds. The Pioneers finished first in the event on Saturday.
 
In other top performances by the PPU women on Saturday, Mya Greschner (25.26) and Emma Roemer (25.83) turned in the second- and third-best times in school history in the 200-meter dash. Alexis Heller, who set a school record in the shot put a week ago at 11.79 meters, recorded a distance of 11.70 meters today in the event. She also turned in the second-best mark in PPU history in the women's javelin on Saturday (36.41m).
 
In men's events, Jonah Schneider turned in the third-best mark in PPU history in the discus at 38.12 meters. In the pole vault, Andrew Hartung moved into the school's top five list at No. 4 with a mark of 3.68 meters.
 
Point Park will split between two events next Friday and Saturday, competing at the CMU Invitational and Tim Weaver Invitational.
