WHEELING, W.Va. -- Milo Thim was named MEC Freshman of the Year and All-MEC First Team for the 2025-26 season as Point Park men's golf competed at the MEC Spring Invitational at Oglebay Park Resort. The Pioneers finished 14th as a team, shooting a combined +45.

Thim, a native of Kungsbacka, Sweden, took 21st place and shot +4. Thim tallied six birdies over the invitational, including four on the second round. Thim is the first Pioneer to win MEC Freshman of the Year and the first to make the All-MEC First Team. Thim earned second place in the MEC Championships in the fall, en route to being named to the All-Tournament Team. 

Tharcisse Kalinda tied for 31st place overall, having shot +7. Kalinda posted five birdies in the second round, three of which came on the back nine. Joshua Topper placed 55th and shot +11. 

Kaiden Kohler took 76th place with his +16 total. Kohler was one spot above Cameron Huff, who tied for 77th at +18. Elie Ben Natan rounded out the squad with his +21, en route to tying for 82nd place.

Point Park men's golf will next compete at the Bedford Springs Intercollegiate Invitational on Apr. 20 and 21, hosted by Pitt Johnstown. PPU women's golf will compete in the MEC Spring Invitational on Sunday, Apr. 12, and Monday, Apr. 13, in Fairmont, W.Va.
