PITTSBURGH-- Point Park track & field featured eight athletes in the US Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTCCCA) All-Atlantic Region Team, the association announced Thursday. Akeem Mustapha, Jakob Blatnik, Kamar Sutherland, Lotte Zethof, Dunya Van den Tooren, Khady Ndiaye, Mya Greschner and Cassondra O'Connor all made the squad.

Point Park's men's and women's teams both placed second at the 2026 MEC Outdoor Championships in April, and the women's team was ranked in the top 10 of the USTFCCCA Atlantic Region weekly poll for all seven weeks. The women's team closed the season ranked ninth in the region.Â

Mustapha was named to the team for the long jump, an event he won at the MEC Championships. Mustapha set a program record in the long jump of 7.89 meters on Apr. 4. Mustapha was second in the MEC in the 100m and placed third in the triple jump en route to being named MEC Championships Men's MVP and Men's Track Athlete of the Year.Â

Mustapha was named MEC Athlete of the Week twice in the outdoor season.

Jakob Blatnik, Point Park's record holder in the javelin, earned the nod to the team in the javelin. Blatnik took first place in the javelin at the Westminster Invitational in April with his toss of 65.10 meters. Blatnik was named MEC Athlete of the Week on Apr. 13.Â

Kamar Sutherland earned his spot on the team in the 110m hurdles. Sutherland set a program record of 14.14 seconds in the 110m hurdles at the MEC Championships in the preliminary round - good for first place. Sutherland took first place in the finals, earning an MEC Championship. He has taken home the MEC's crown in the event in back-to-back years. Sutherland was also named to the All-Atlantic Region Team in 2025.Â

Lotte Zethof took second in the 3,000m steeplechase at the MEC Championships en route to being named to the All-Atlantic-Regional Team. Zethof's time of 11:23.38 was good for a new program record.Â

Dunya Van den Tooren was named to the team in the high jump - one of three events she won at the MEC Championships. Van den Tooren swept the jumping events, earning MEC titles in the high, long and triple jumps. She set a program record in the event on Apr. 4 at 1.70 meters. Van den Tooren was named MEC Women's Field Athlete of the Year. She was named MEC Athlete of the Week on Apr. 6.

Khady Ndiaye was named All-MEC Second Team in the triple jump with her second-place finish at the MEC Championships. Ndiaye earned the nod to the USTFCCCA team in the triple jump. She set a program record of 12.09 meters on Apr. 12 at Bucknell.Â

Mya Greschner was named to the All-Atlantic Region Team in both the long jump and 400m. Greschner picked up an MEC Championship Crown in the 400m at both the 2026 Outdoor and Indoor Championships. Her time of 55.75 seconds in her championship-clinching run set a new program record. Greschner also set a program record in the long jump at Bucknell on Apr. 11 at 5.96 meters. She was named MEC Athlete of the Week on Apr. 20.

Cassondra O'Connor made the team in the 5,000m. O'Connor took fifth place at the MEC Championships in the event. Her time of 17:04.96 from April of 2025 remains second in Point Park history. O'Connor earned All-Atlantic Region honors in 2025 as well.Â
