PITTSBURGH -- Point Park University Vice President of Athletics Scott Swain and Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach Tim Creamer announced the 2026 cross country schedule on Tuesday. The Pioneers are set to five regular-season meets before beginning the MEC and NCAA Championships.

The Pioneers open the season on Thursday, Sept. 3, in the West Liberty University Invitational in Bethany, West Virginia. The women will compete in the 5K at 5 p.m., followed by the men in the 6K at 6 p.m.

Point Park will compete close to home in the 25th Annual Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Youthtowne Fields in Clinton, Pa. The men will run an 8K at 10 a.m., and the women will follow in a 5K at 10:45 a.m.Â

The MEC Cross Country Championships are set for Saturday, Nov. 7, at Oglebay Park in Wheeling, W.Va.Â

Following the announcement that Point Park has been granted full NCAA Division II membership in 2026-27, the Pioneers will be eligible for NCAA postseason for the first time this fall. The 2026 Atlantic Regional Championships will be held on Nov. 21 in Kernersville, N.C. The NCAA Cross Country National Championship is set for Dec. 4 in Lawrence, Kansas.
