PITTSBURGH -- Point Park's Rebecca Pihlgren and Dharit Iemkanitchat were named Moe's Southwest Grill Pioneer Athletes of the Month, Point Park announced on Thursday.

Pihlgren, a sophomore women's soccer player from Stockholm, Sweden, was named MEC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after her two-goal performance against Wheeling. She scored two goals in just 90 seconds to give Point Park a 2-0 win in its MEC opener. 

Pihlgren leads Point Park in goals, points (4), shots (eight) and shots on goal (six). She is tied for second in the MEC in goals and ranks ninth in points.

Iemkanitchat has excelled in his first month at Point Park on the men's golf team. Iemkanitchat, who hails from Nonthaburi, Thailand, by way of Eastern Arizona University, recorded a top-10 finish in last week's Vulcan Classic, and has finished two of his four rounds under par.

Iemkanitchat shot 70 (-2) in his first round at the Vulcan Classic before recording a career-low round of 66 (-4) on Wednesday in the Charleston Invitational's second round. He has birdied 15 holes in the young season. 

As recipients of the award, Pihlgren and Iemkanitchat will both receive Moe's reward points to be used at Moe's Southwest Grill restaurants.

Point Park Athletics and Moe's Southwest Grill announced their partnership for the 2026-27 season on Sept. 1. As an official sponsor for Point Park Athletics, Moe's Southwest Grill will be the presenting sponsor for the "Moe's Southwest Grill Pioneer Athlete of the Month." Additional game day sponsorships will be announced at a later date.

The monthly award winner will be selected on the 10th of each month to honor the on-field success of a men's and women's student-athlete from one of Point Park's 20 athletics programs.
