PITTSBURGH - Dustin Steider (MS, CSCS*D, RSCC, USAW, TPI) has been named Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Point Park University, Vice President of Athletics
Scott Swain announced. He began his PPU tenure on September 2, 2026.

Steider arrives at Point Park after three years as the Assistant Director of Athletic Performance at Michigan State University in East Lansing. His tenure totals eight years of experience in strength & conditioning, four of which came at the NCAA Division I level.

"Dustin was our top choice from a very talented candidate pool," said Swain. "We appreciated Dustin's experience within varied levels of collegiate athletics. His positive attitude and student-athlete centered philosophy will help our Pioneer student-athletes immensely. We are all very excited to have Dustin on board with Pioneer Athletics."

While at Michigan State, Steider oversaw all facets of athletic performance for men's soccer, women's golf, and both men's and women's cross country and track & field. He authored annual strength & conditioning programs, executed fitness tests, and conducted return-to-play protocols.

He began his Division I experience at Chicago State University in 2022, where he served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance. While at CSU, Steider designed, organized and implemented all aspects of the sports performance department.

Steider earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in 2014, where he graduated magna cum laude and competed on the varsity swimming team. He went on to earn a Master of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (Wellness and Human Performance) in 2018.

After college, he entered the field as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Division III Earlham College, where he served for three years.Â

Steider has received multiple certifications from the National Strength & Conditioning Association, including:
- Certified Strength & Conditioning Special with Distinction (CSCS*D)
- Registered Strength & Conditioning Coach (RSCC)
- Level 1 Sports Performance Coach from USA Weightlifting (USAW-1)
- Level 1 Gold Performance Certified from the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI)
