CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Dharit Iemkanitchat tied for fourth place at the Charleston Open over Wednesday and Thursday. Iemkanitchat shot +1 across the three rounds with 12 birdies, highlighted by his second round in which he shot 66 (-4).

Iemkanitchat, who was named the Moe's Southwest Grill Men's Pioneer Athlete of the Month on Thursday, ended the first day one stroke over par after six birdies in round two. He finished the invitational with an even third round and ended in a tie for fourth place - his best finish of the year.

Iemkanitchat's best nine holes came on the back half of round two, in which he recorded four birdies, including two on the first two holes, and only one bogey.

Point Park's men's team placed 17th, shooting a combined +78. 

Joshua Topper shot 23 over par across the three rounds. Topper recorded six birdies at the invitational. Elie Ben Natan shot +29 over the two days of action with four birdies.

Jack Dickinson and Tegan Rucks rounded out the group, shooting +32 and +34 respectively. Dickinson tallied three birdies, and Rucks recorded five.

Gabi Wait tied for 62nd place at the invitational, and Ruby Molloy placed 70th in her collegiate debut. The two Pioneer women competed independently at Edgewood Country Club in Sissonville, W.Va. 

UP NEXT

Point Park men's golf will return to action on Monday and Tuesday in the Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational in Roanoke, W.Va.'s Stonewall Resort - the site for the MEC Golf Championships. The women are idle this week before joining the men in the West Chester Battlefield Classic in Gettysburg, Pa., on Sept. 21 and 22.
