Josef DiPietrantonio is entering his fifth season as assistant cross country and track & field coach at Point Park University, where he works extensively with distance events from 400m through 8k in cross country. He began his coaching career as an assistant at Duquesne University for one season.

While at Point Park, he has been a part of one national championship team in marathon and 12 conference championships as a member of the River States Conference. He has also been instrumental in the development of one All-American, two Indoor Track Athletes of the Year, one MEC Cross Country Runner of the Year, and multiple NAIA national qualifiers (both individual and relay). He has also coached 21 individual conference champions and nine relay conference championship teams.

DiPietrantonio competed collegiately in cross country and track & field at Duquesne University, where he primarily raced 3k-10k and was a part of two Atlantic 10 Cross Country runner-up team finishes.

DiPietrantonio earned his Ph.D. in Decision Sciences and Engineering Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and conducts research in human performance as well as teaches college courses in mathematics, statistics, and engineering.

He currently resides in Beaver, Pa. with his wife Liza.
