Point Park men's cross country finishes 2nd at Pitt-Greensburg 5K Meet

RESULTS

GREENSBURG -- The Point Park University men's cross country team finished second of 11 teams at the Pitt-Greensburg 5K Invitational on Saturday.

The Pioneers had three runners finish in the top six, but Bethany was able to edge Point Park for the team title, 35 points to 44 points. Pitt-Greensburg (68 points) was third followed by Mt. Aloysius (78 points).

The meet was a 5K, which was shorter than the usual 8K for men's cross country. Point Park's runners were very strong in the shorter race with junior Connor Mulvaney, from Moon Twp., Pa., finishing second individually at 17:58. Ryan Donnelly of Bethany was the individual winner by a comfortable margin with a time of 17:34.

Other high finishers for Point Park were sophomore Zane Kravec in fourth at 18:39 and sophomore Eric Engel in sixth at 18:56. Senior Ian McIntosh was 16th in the 43-runner field at 19:59.
