KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- For the first time officially, Point Park University men's cross country is getting national mention in the NAIA Top 25. The Pioneers are "receiving votes" this week and are ranked as the 34th team in the nation.

Point Park earned the attention from the voters with its performances at the first two meets so far. Most recently, the Pioneers competed at the NCAA Division I Akron Invitational, where they tested themselves versus top competition. Point Park had an average of 21 minutes, 37 seconds for the 8K race, and it posted seven runners with a mile pace of 5:30 or better.

The Pioneers have their next test on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Lock Haven Invitational. For the complete NAIA Top 25 rankings for this week, click here.
