CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Point Park University men's cross country team is competing in the NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship on Friday, April 9. The Pioneers are one of 36 teams that qualified for the national meet, which was postponed to the spring season due to COVID-19.
Point Park is making its third team appearance at men's cross country nationals in the last four years. The national race will be 8,000 meters on Friday at 12:30 p.m. ET. The meet is being held at the Seminole Valley Cross Country Course.

The Pioneers have five runners competing in Iowa with all-conference performers Treven Carter, a sophomore, and Dylan Allen, a senior, leading the way. Point Park is also sending sophomores John Ziegler and Deven Carter as well as freshman Dominic Zucco.
Point Park earned its NAIA national qualification by earning runner-up status at the River States Conference Championship back in November. It was the fourth time in a row the Pioneers had a high conference finish of second place. Each of the Point Park runners is making their nationals debut in this meet.
