Box Score

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio -- (RV) Point Park University on Thursday pulled a 6-5, walk-off win over Northwestern Ohio in an NAIA non-conference baseball matchup at VA Memorial Stadium.

The Pioneers (10-4, 3-0 RSC) were trailing, 5-3, when they came to bat in the bottom of the ninth. Jared Campbell led off with a double, and Eddie Javier, Jr., was hit by a pitch to put the tying run on base with no outs. Jordon Campbell took care of things from there as he came up next with a three-run homer to end it.

Jared Campbell was 2 for 5, and Omar Morillo was 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs to join Jordon Campbell as the key bats on the day. Morillo drove in a run with a base hit in the second inning, which cut the lead to 2-1.

Point Park was again within a run when Isaac Santana delivered an RBI single in the sixth. That cut the UNOH lead to 3-2. It was the same thing in the eighth when Morillo's base hit drove in a run to pull the Pioneers within 4-3 in the eighth.

The Racers (3-8) did get an insurance run with a base hit and a double in the top of the ninth, but it was not enough to hold off the Pioneers that time.

Point Park had nine pitchers throw on the day getting in work up and down the staff. Javier Cardoso got the win as the one who pitched the ninth inning. The Pioneers used these pitchers in order on the day: Freddie Martinez, Jose Moreno, Karving Vargas Colon, John Hawley, Kenneth Rolon, Wendy Senvil, Joathan Rivera, Adam Zulka and Cardoso.
