PITTSBURGH – Point Park women's basketball will travel to College Park for an exhibition game against the University of Maryland on Thursday evening at the Xfinity Center. Maryland currently ranks 10
th in the nation in Division I by the USA Today. Thursday's tip is set for 6 p.m.
Thursday's game will be stream lived on B1G+ (subscription required) and live stats will be available at UMTerps.com. Admission for Thursday's game is free.
Point Park University and Sports Comm Club will also provide a live radio broadcast from College Park. Tyler Beck and Matt Palange will be on the call from section 110 at the Xfinity Center.
Point Park will be led this season by returners
Camille Fultz and
Alexis Giles.
Giles was a second team All-MEC selection a season ago, averaging 13.0 points per game. She also recorded 70 rebounds, 29 assists and 25 steals on the season.
Fultz was third on the team in scoring a season ago, averaging 11.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Fultz also had 19 steals and 18 blocks shots.
Additional returners from 2024-25 include senior
Fatim Sarr Ndow, sophomore
Kaylin Zaal, and junior
Kayla Walters.
The newcomers include an even mix of transfers and true-freshman. The transfers include sophomore
Sophia Moore from Saint Leo University, junior
Elizabeth Boyd from Ashbury University, and junior
Lucia Hervia from East Texas A&M.

Emma Pavelek will miss the 2025-26 season.
Head coach
Dave Scarborough enters his fourth season leading the Pioneers. Scarborough has a record of 39-44 on the PPU sideline. In the Pioneers' first season in NCAA Division II, PPU went 9-19 as a member of the Mountain East Conference in 2024-25. In 2023-24, Point Park went 19-9 as a member of the NAIA and River States Conference.
Following Saturday's exhibition, Point Park will prepare for its regular season opener on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Shippensburg University.
The Pioneers were voted 10
th in the Mountain East Conference Preseason Poll earlier this month.
