PITTSBURGH – Point Park women's basketball standout
Alexis Giles has been nominated for the 2025 Mountain East Conference Play of the Year, the league office announced on Friday morning.
Giles dropped in a go-ahead layup with five seconds remaining to give Point Park a 76-75 lead over Charleston at home on Feb. 15. The layup was set up by a inbounds pass from PPU point guard
Aichata Ballo on the baseline. The Pioneers went on to win the game by a final score of 78-75 following a pair of Giles free throws before time expired.
