WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – West Liberty earned the season sweep over Point Park with a 3-0 victory over the Pioneers on Tuesday night at the ASRC. The Hilltoppers won by set scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-15.
West Liberty led the match statistically, hitting .252 with a 6-4 edge in aces and a 13-1 advantage in blocks. PPU hit .009 in the match with 24 kills and 23 errors.
Avery Budrys Rini led the Pioneers with seven kills, eight digs and two aces in the match.
Nicole Reasbeck added six kills.
Marianna Oyola-Rivera led Point Park with 17 assists and seven digs from her setter position.
Alex Koontz also added seven digs.
Ashley Cudnik led West Liberty with 17 kills in the win. Dakoda Keni finished the evening with 34 assists, while Bella Dart had 14 digs and two aces.
Point Park will return home to host Wheeling University on Friday evening. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. at the Student Center.
