Sixty-Three Point Park Student-Athletes Inducted Into Chi Alpha Sigma

PITTSBURGH – Sixty-three Point Park University student-athletes were inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society Point Park Rho Chapter during an induction ceremony on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025. The student-athletes were recognized with a breakfast in Lawrence Hall on the PPU campus.

Point Park University Vice President of Athletics Scott Swain and University President Chris Brussalis opened the ceremony with a welcome and some opening comments for the honorees. The inductees included juniors, seniors and graduate students with a 3.50 grade-point average or higher. Juniors were given an induction pin, while seniors and graduate students received a special cord to wear during upcoming graduation ceremonies.

"I am so proud of these sixty-three Pioneer student-athletes," said Swain. "Being a student-athlete in today's world is a great endeavor and takes an incredible amount of time and effort to be successful.

"These honorees have excelled in the Point Park classroom and will go onto great things with their next steps in life. Many of them will go onto graduate school while some are headed into great careers thanks to our Professional Career Readiness Center on campus. The future is very bright for these Pioneers, and we are so happy for them."

Point Park University's Director of Career Readiness Dean Jolin also addressed the honorees during the ceremony. Faculty Athletics Representative Hagen Starz and Assistant AD for Academic Support Taylor Fulton presented the awards to each student-athlete.
