PITTSBURGH - The Point Park University Department of Athletics is thrilled to announce a department grade-point average of 3.33 for the Fall 2024 semester.
 
"I am incredibly proud of our student-athletes who showed outstanding dedication to their academic work while also juggling their practice and competition schedules week in and week out during the fall semester," said VP of Athletics Scott Swain. "We additionally have a tremendous group of coaches and resources on campus that are in place to help our students succeed. It is very gratifying to see the results in the classroom from our Pioneer student-athletes."
 
The success in the classroom includes 17 of 19 sports accomplishing a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

"Point Park continues to be committed to providing our student-athletes with the resources and opportunities to help them not only excel in their respective sports, but also to focus and maintain excellence in their academic studies."
 
Female student-athletes at Point Park succeeded with an average GPA of 3.48 during the fall. The team with the best grade-point average among women's sports was women's soccer with a 3.56 in the classroom.
 
Male student-athletes at Point Park had a grade-point average of 3.20 in the fall. Men's soccer had the highest team GPA among men's sports with a 3.45 grade-point average.
