Point Park, West Liberty Set For Four-Game Series at EQT Park

PITTSBURGH – Point Park will return to Mountain East Conference North Division play on Saturday and Sunday with a four-game series against West Liberty. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. each day at EQT Park in Washington.
 
The game location and time have been adjusted, following wet field conditions at Point Park Field in Green Tree.
 
Point Park enters the weekend with a record of 22-10, including an 11-5 mark in conference play. The Pioneers are currently tied for second in the north division. West Liberty is fourth in the division standings with a record of 16-17 overall and 8-8 in league play.
 
Point Park Baseball Notebook
  • Jared Cambell is leading the Pioneers at the plate this season, batting .404 with 10 home runs and 35 runs batted in. Campbell ranks second in the league in slugging percentage (.798) and first in on-base percentage (.530).
  • Campbell and Concord's Kaden Swaim are currently tied for the league-lead with 10 home runs.
  • Campbell also ranks first in the league in runs scored (40), is tied for second in hits (42), and is fourth in runs batted-in (35).
  • The Pioneers have three players ranked in the top 10 in the league in doubles this season, led by Luis Gonzalez in a tie for second with 13. Crixtian Taveras is tied for seventh in the league with 10 doubles, while Jared Campbell ranks ninth.

  • Two members of the Point Park pitching staff rank in the top 10 in the MEC in ERA, led by Harold Boyce at 3.41. Javier Cardoso II ranks eighth in the league at 4.75.
  • Boyce ranks third in the league in earned runs allowed (13) and is tied for fourth in hits allowed (29).
  • Point Park has four players hitting over .300 this season, including Jared Campbell (.404), Taveras (.363), Joseph Pilewski (.342) and Omar Morillo (.328).
