GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Point Park women's volleyball team dropped a non-conference matchup to Seton Hill 3-0 on Tuesday night at the McKenna Center.
Seton Hill dominated the matchup winning 25-9, 25-14, and 25-16 to get the sweep over the Pioneers.
Point Park struggled offensively in the matchup hitting -.025 while the Griffins hit .360 in the contest.
Avery Budrys Rini led the offensive attack for the Pioneers recording five kills while
Alex Koontz and
Nicole Reasbeck each had four.
Marianna Oyola-Rivera dished out 15 assists for Point Park while
Mia Arndt led in digs with eight. Koontz and
Lily Marchand each chipped in with seven digs. Budrys Rini and
Savannah Kitchen each recorded a block to round out the statistical leaders.
The Griffins held a 42-16 advantage in kills, 35-15 advantage in assists, and a slim 38-33 advantage in digs.
With the loss, the Pioneers fall to 1-9 on the season while Seton Hill advances to 6-4. Point Park will open their Mountain East Conference schedule on Friday as the Pioneers travel to Davis & Elkins to take on the Senators. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
