PITTSBURGH – The Point Park men's and women's golf teams will open their 2025 fall schedules on Thursday during day one of the Wheeling Invitational hosted by Wheeling University. The event will be played at Belmont Hills Country Club in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Thursday and Friday.
The two-day event will feature three 18-hole rounds. The first 36 holes will be played on Thursday, followed by round three on Friday. The course is a par 72.
The Point Park men return three upperclassmen in 2025, led by graduate student
Tharcisse Kalinda, senior
Anthony Maltony and junior
Alex Zinz. The trio of returners will be joined by newcomers
Elie Ben Natan (Paris, France),
Cameron Huff (Newton Falls, Ohio),
Kaiden Kohler (Bristolville, Ohio),
Milo Thim (Kungsbacka, Sweden) and
Joshua Topper (Bedford, Pa.).
Taking the course for the Point Park women will be sophomore returner
Gabi Wait and senior transfer
Marissa Moriconi. Moriconi is a redshirt-senior transfer from Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio.
Kalinda (+5, +11) and Wait (+26, +27) represented Point Park at the 2024 Mountain East Conference Golf Championships at Glade Springs Resort last fall. Both players missed the cut after 36 holes at the event. Wait's 2024 campaign was highlighted by a second-place finish at the Saint Vincent Invitational in Latrobe, Pa.
