FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Fairmont State shot nearly 57 percent from the floor and made 16 3-pointers in a 97-57 win over Point Park on Wednesday evening in Mountain East Conference play at Joe Retton Arena.
On the opposite end, Point Park managed just 36.2 percent (21-58) from the floor, including a 7-of-25 performance from behind the arc. The Pioneers were also outrebounded by 10 (38-28) in the defeat.
Aidan Anderson led Point Park with 17 points and five rebounds in the game.
Greg Williams also chipped in 10 points as Point Park's only other player in double figures.
Grant Welch chipped in eight points in the game, while
Kaden Warner added seven.
Emeka Anwah pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
Fairmont State got 22 points apiece from David Jolinder and Miguel Martinez. Zycheus Dobbs filled the stat sheet with nine points, six rebounds and six assists. Rene Diop led the Falcons in the paint with eight points and seven rebounds.
Point Park returns to action on Saturday against Frostburg State. Tip is slated for 4 p.m. at CCAC.
