Point Park Falls at Fairmont State

FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Fairmont State grabbed a double-digit lead in the second quarter and never looked back in an 80-56 win over Point Park on Wednesday evening in Mountain East Conference play at Joe Retton Arena.
 
Fairmont State outshot Point Park 43.1 percent to 34.9 percent from the floor, with both teams seeing most of their success from inside the arc.
 
The teams were also deadlocked at 44 rebounds apiece in the game.
 
Camille Fultz led the Pioneers with 19 points, nine rebounds and two assists. Elizabeth Boyd came off the bench to record a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Boyd also had four blocks in the game. Alexis Giles rounded out Point Park's double-digit scorers with 10 points to go with three rebounds and three steals.
 
Fairmont State had five double-digit scorers in the game, led by 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals from Haylen Cook. Ryan Davis chipped in 13 points, while Alanna Tate and Leila Jones scored 12 points apiece.
 
Point Park returns home to host Frostburg State on Saturday afternoon at CCAC. Tip is slated for 2 p.m.
