FROSTBURG, Md. -- Inzaghi Harmon's goal in the 82nd minute gave Frostburg State the edge over Point Park men's soccer on Sunday at Bobcat Stadium. The Pioneers dropped to 5-6-3 (4-5-2 MEC) on the season with the defeat.
Â
In a game that featured just four total shots on goal, Harmon turned the ball onto his left foot at the top right corner of the box and fired a shot into the far left side with just 8:30 remaining in the match to lift the Bobcats (7-2-5, 5-2-3 MEC) to victory in the matchup of MEC North Division rivals.
Â
Point Park's lone shot on goal came off the foot of Louis Guffroy, who also led the team with his three shots. Frank Stare of FSU led the match with his four shots and two shots on goal. The Bobcats posted a 10-8 advantage in shots, including a 3-1 lead in shots on goal.Â
Â
After the defeat, the Pioneers are tied for the third-and-final playoff spot in the MEC North Division with West Liberty at 13 points apiece. West Liberty's victory over Point Park on Sept. 9 gives it the tiebreaker, but the two teams are set for a rematch on Wednesday at F.N.B. Stadium. The Pioneers will honor their senior class before the match, which is slated for 7:30 p.m., kicks off.Â
