HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Point Park track & field will compete in the 2026 Mountain East Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday on the campus of Marshall University.

Heading into the championship, Alexis Heller re-set her program record in the shot put last weekend with her 12.85-meter toss at the YSU Last Chance Meet - marking the third time she has re-set the record mark this year. Gabriella Wesney (shot put - 12.15 meters), Aike Van der Lei (5,000m - 15:14.70) and Elijah Bechdel (3,000m - 8:38.51) all notched the second-best marks in program history in their respective events last weekend.

The Pioneers found great success at last year's MEC Indoor Championships - their first time competing in the tournament. The Pioneer women finished in second-place as a team and the men took fourth.
