SALEM, W.Va. – Point Park men's basketball wrapped up the regular season with a 77-62 non-conference win over Salem on Saturday afternoon at the T. Edward Gymnasium.
Aidan Anderson led the Pioneers in the win with 28 points and 11 rebounds, recording his fifth double-double of the season.
Grant Welch chipped in 13 points and five rebounds, while
Greg Williams finished with 10.
Rob Keys and
Jayden Davis also chipped in nine points apiece.
Point Park shot just under 47 percent from the floor and made nine 3-pointers in the win. The Pioneers also held a 41-31 edge on the glass and recorded 16 assists on 28 made baskets.
Salem shot 41 percent from the floor, including a dismal 4-of-21 from behind the arc (19.0%).
Salem got a team-high 14 points from Zahki Fallen. Xavier Price chipped in 12 points and six rebounds.
Point Park will now turn its attention to the MEC Men's Basketball Tournament next week from WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia. The Pioneers are the No. 9-seed in the tournament and open play against eighth-seeded Davis & Elkins on Wednesday night at 8:30.
