Pioneers Take Down Tigers to End Regular Season

SALEM, W.Va. -- Point Park women's basketball ended its regular season with a 66-56 win over Salem on Saturday. Four Pioneers (8-18, 4-16 MEC) scored double-digit points, led by Camille Fultz's double-double.

Fultz scored 19 points and added 11 rebounds in Saturday's game, the latter of which led the game. Saturday was Fultz's second double-double of the season, both of which have been in the last four games.

Fultz was one of four Pioneers to eclipse 10 points, with Alexis Giles (17 points), Lucia Hervia (12) and Kamryn Pieper (10) all accomplishing the feat. Hervia also tallied three blocks in the game, good for the game high. The Pioneers recorded eight blocks on Saturday to Salem's one.

The Pioneers and Tigers were tied at 49 apiece with 7:33 to play in the matchup, but an 8-0 run gave Point Park a lead it wouldn't surrender. Kamryn Pieper and Alexis Giles each made 3-pointers on the run, and Kiyana Larocque added 2 points on a tip in.

Point Park landed 50% of its field goals and shot 36.4% from 3-point range. The Pioneers scored at a 70% rate from the field in the fourth quarter, including going 3/3 from 3.

Selena Frost scored 20 points for the Tigers to lead the game. Akhia Miller's six rebounds led the team.
