Taylor Fulton Named Head Women's Basketball Coach

PITTSBURGH - Point Park University Vice President of Athletics Scott Swain has announced the hiring of Taylor Fulton as head women's basketball coach for the Pioneers.

Fulton returns to coaching after most recently serving as Assistant AD for Academic Support at Point Park.

"As our search progressed it became clear that Taylor Fulton was the absolute best fit for Point Park Women's Basketball," said Swain. "Her passion for coaching and ever present positive attitude will be a perfect addition to our other Pioneer Head Coaches. Taylor believes in developing young women into better people both on and off the court and that is what we want for all of our student-athletes."

Fulton began her career in athletics as a women's basketball coach, with stops at Clark Atlanta, Middle Georgia State, Lincoln, Pitt-Johnstown and Penn State Greater Allegheny as a lead assistant at each stop. She served as head women's basketball coach at Penn State Greater Allegheny in 2015-16.

"I would like to thank Vice President of Athletics Scott Swain, President Chris Brussalis, and the search committee for their trust and belief in me," said Fulton. "I am truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead the women's basketball program at Point Park University.

"Returning to Pittsburgh has already been a meaningful experience, and I have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating across campus to strengthen academic support for our student-athletes. While I have valued that experience, coaching has always been a part of who I am and is something I feel deeply called to do. I am excited for the opportunity to lead this program, and to invest in the development and success of these young women on and off the court."
